With Disney Plus launching in the fall, this is why the new streaming service will be tough to beat.

Disney Plus launches on November 12th and with the acquisition of 21st Century Fox—there will be an even deeper bank of content that the new streaming service has to offer.

As much as the Disney/Fox deal means to Marvel fans; Disney CEO, Bob Iger even says that the purchase was primarily about building Disney Plus content.

So in a seemingly saturated field of streaming services, just what separates Disney Plus from the rest? Short answer—a lot.

With the low price of $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year, Disney Plus will be offering access to an abundance of exclusive content that will include new Marvel series such as: Falcon and the Winter Soldier—a team up show of the beloved heroes from the MCU starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan. This show is set to debut on Disney Plus around August of 2020.

A Marvel series coming within the first year will be, Marvel’s “What If?” An animated series based on the popular comics that will focus on alternate universes. The first episode is described as a “What if Peggy Carter became the super soldier instead of Steve Rogers.”

More Marvel shows that are said to be coming in the second year of the streaming service will be a Loki series starring Tom Hiddleston, and a show called WandaVision in which Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will be reprising their roles as the characters in the MCU.

Another show Marvel is developing will be starring Jeremy Renner in a Hawkeye series, which will be a passing of the torch type show that will include Kate Bishop.

Marvel is really gonna be pumping out spin-offs galore, but what Marvel series would you like to see?

All these Marvel shows will be considered canon according to Kevin Feige—who has even gone on to say that, “These will be both new and continuing stories. These will be major story lines set in the MCU with ramifications that will be felt both through the other Disney Plus series we’ll be producing and the future on the big screen.”

Now some more content that will be available immediately at launch will be the Simpsons, which will be streaming exclusively on Disney plus. A live-action Lady and the Tramp film, starring Tessa Thompson will be premiering November 12th; and Jon Favreau’s live-action Star Wars series “The Mandalorian.” This is said to have a Sci-Fi western vibe to it and will be set seven years after the Battle of Endor in Return of the Jedi. Pedro Pascal will be portraying the titular role—and the first season will be eight episodes, according to Favreau.

Star Wars is another universe that will be having plenty of content for the streaming service, including a show following Cassian Andor from Rogue One starring Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk who will be returning to voice K-2SO. This Star Wars series will be set prior to the events of Rogue One.

Also, a new 7th season for the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be coming to Disney Plus along with all the Star Wars films which will be streaming on Disney Plus.

Disney Pixar will be making all of their shorts available to stream, along with Toy Story 4’s new character, Forky getting his own series of ten short films.

Disney also has a new animated Phineas & Ferb movie coming—and they will be streaming over 5,000 episodes of Disney channel content along with over 100 Disney channel original movies.

National Geographic will also have content available to stream on Disney Plus, but probably their most anticipated series will be “The World According to Jeff Goldblum,” and honestly what more could you ask for than a documentary narrated by Jeff Goldblum?

Also, Marvel Studios will be making Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame exclusively available to stream on Disney Plus as well.

So will you be buying access to Disney Plus, and if so what are you looking forward to binging the most?
